Les années 70, du moins la première moitié, ont certainement été l'âge d'or de la musique rock avec la fin des années 60. De nombreux groupes mythiques ont fait leur émergence à ce moment : BLACK SABBATH, LED ZEPPELIN, AC/DC...
De plus, cette décennie a vu la naissance d'un nouveau courant, le punk, dont les principaux représentants sont les Clash, les Sex Pistols et les Ramones...
